Blue like the glittering Milky Way stretched high above Country. Always remembering that sky is also Country. That the night sky also holds our stories.
Blue is one of four small artworks. These paintings weren’t completed randomly. They were done with intention. They represent new beginnings. The first paintings I completed since the floods, since moving to Aotearoa fell by the wayside, and returning to Katherine. The first paintings completed in my new studio. They represent joy and hope - all the good things that are happening since my ancestors reminded me where I need to be and my purpose.
