I was dreaming of desert sunsets. The change of colours when the sun slowly drops beyond the horizon. The heat radiating of the red dirt and still permeates the air, even after the sun has continued its journey and the stars begin theirs. I miss the horizon. You don’t see it where I live.
I miss the desert.
This painting is an ode to the desert. The colours were chosen to transport me back. To remind me of the sights, sounds, and feel of the desert.To remind me of expansive red dirt, horizon to horizon views, and flowing sunsets.
